![]() This is Scooter. She is a wood duck. Scooter was our very first duck. She has been with us since she was just one day old. She loves riding in the car and going places with us in the car. Scooter has visited nursing homes, many different stores and will be a THERAPY PET at a local nursing home. | This is Mezoti, he is a Muscovy duck. Mezoti was found by a canal, his egg was pushed out of his nest and a seagull picked him up and flew off with him and then dropped him and tried to eat him. At which time I ran up to him, grabbed the baby still attached to the egg and took him home to die in peace. Mezoti is now 1 1/2 years old and is our friendliest duck. |
Mesatawe is a Muscovy and is very much a "daddy's boy". He only has eyes for Will. He has a badly twisted leg and has trouble walking but he is a very loved and spoiled duckie. We call him Mesa for short. | Here is Worf. He is also a Muscovy duck. He was stolen from him mama by a lady who wanted a pet duck. Worf was his mamas last baby and she took him away. Then she changed her mind and didn't want him anymore. But that's OK, Worf is happy living with us and has many duck friends. |
Here is Hector. He is a Pekin duck and he was bought for Easter and then dumped of at the park. He was not afraid of dogs and a dog attacked and almost killed him. Hector was rushed to the vet by someone from the humane society where a vet tech saved his life and then I adopted him. Hector has a badly broken leg and he can only hop on one foot. Here he is with his friend Worf and a lot of ducks we are rehabilitating for release. | This is Mariah. She is a Mallard mix. She was purchased at a feed store and then dumped at the park but the people got caught and we ended up getting her. She is very friendly and thinks she's a people. |
